Tasho Barulov has finished his average education in Music High School “Philip Kutev” in Kotel, Bulgaria in 1976, graduated in speciality “kaval”. After Kotel he has joined in Academy for Music and Dance Arts – Plovdiv, Bulgaria. In 1982 he has graduated in speciality “Management of national folklore music groups”. Between 1986 – 1992 he worked as a conductor in Ensemble for Folklore Music and Dance – Sliven, Bulgaria. In 1992 he was chosen to become a director of the Music High School in Kotel. From 1995 till now he works as a teacher in Solmization, Theory of the Music Elements and Music Harmony. Between 1998-2000 we worked as a part-time teacher in “Kaval Playing” and leader of the students orchestra of Sofia’s University “St. Kliment Ohridski”.

Tasho Barulov is a co-partner and editor in “National Folklore Music” Redaction of Bulgarian National Radio.

He is the author of more than 200 products: songs for folklore choir, plays for orchestras, plays for chamber groups and theatrical scenes.
