In 1983 he graduated from the National Academy of Music “Pancho Vladigerov” in Sofia as a flutist. Danev attended composition classes under Prof. Marin Goleminov while still a student. During the International Atelier organized by Gaudeamus Foundation he took part in composition master classes under Ton de Leeuw. Since 1987 Miroslav Danev is working as a Sound Engineer and Music Consultant at the Bulgarian National Radio’s Studio Recording Department.
Among his creativity are mainly instrumental works. For symphony orchestra are “Eon”, “Via dolorosa”, Passacaglia and Toccata, Rhapsody for violin and orchestra, Choreographic frescoes, Suite for flute and orchestra. In the chamber genre, the Sonata for Flute and Piano, Wind Quintet, String Quartet, as well as piano pieces stand out. His music compositions, in line with the best traditions of the 20th century, have been performed, time and again, at national and international music events, both in the country and abroad – in the Czech Republic, Georgia, Germany, France, Japan, Russia, the UK and the USA. Outstanding Bulgarian musicians and Ensembles have presented his works of music – pianist Ljudmil Angelov, violinist Vanya Milanova, flutist Christo Christov, members of Sofia Soloists Chamber Ensemble, the Bulgarian National Radio Symphony Orchestra, Sofia Philharmonic Orchestra, etc. His works are published by Dr. Raoul R. Ronson, President, Seesaw Music Corp*.
