Denislav Tomov graduated from the National Academy of Music “Prof. Pancho Vladigerov”, Sofia, with Musical Pedagogy in 2004 and with Composition in 2005. He also attended the conducting courses of Alan Hazeldine (Great Britain) in 2002 and Ivan Anguelov (Germany) in 2003. From 2005 till 2007 he was a teacher at the National School of Music “Lyubomir Pipkov” in Sofia. From 2007 he is free license composer and pianist. Denislav Tomov was nominated at the final tour of the National Competition for Bulgarian Symphony Composition ”Percussion in 7/8” in 2004 for Concerto for Percussions and Symphony Orchestra. He was awarded second prize at the International Competition for Instrumentalists and Composers “Music and Earth” (2005) in Sofia and also second prize at the Composition Competition dedicated to the 100 anniversary of Elias Canetti’s birthday, organized by the Embassy of the Republic of Austria in Bulgaria (2005). His music was performed at different festivals.
