Peter Baberkoff was born in Rousse. At first he learns the violin and composition in Sofia. Later he goes in Prague where he studies under Prof. Vaclav Dobiash and from 1956 in Vienna under Prof. Karl Schiffke. He also studies conducting under the renowned Prof. Hans Swarowsky When Peter Baberkoff graduates he performs as a violinist in many symphony orchestras. He is a guest artist with many conductors and soloists in the famous concert halls of Berlin, London, Paris, Rome, Amsterdam and New York. He has worked with musicians like Rafael Kubelik, Antal Dorati, Karl Byohm, Josef Krips, Svjatoslav Richter, Mstislav Rostropowitsch, Yehudi Menuhin and David Oistrach. Baberkoff is a founder and conductor of the Rheinischen Kammerorchester, Rheinischen Solistenensembles, Neuen Stockholmer Kammerorchesters and he leads Studio-Orchester Duisburg for 30 years. His work with young instrumentalists is a great contribution and he has created musical persons, who perform nowadays in countless orchestras. From 1987 till 1997 Peter Baberkoff is professor of conducting in Freiburg and works with the symphony orchestra of the College there. He has invited as a guest conductor. As a composer Peter Baberkoff write opera, symphony and chamber music.
