Ludmil Yotov graduated from the State Academy of Music majoring in Composition under Professor Marin Goleminov. He continued his education at the Academy of Arts in Berlin. He studied Composition with Rudolf Wagner-Regeny. Since 1962 he lived and worked in Germany. From 1962 to 1977 he worked in Berlin as composer, conductor, pedagogue and member of an orchestra. He taught Theory and Composition at the Hans Eisler Conservatoire in Berlin (1977-89). Since 1990 he has lived in Hagen (Germany) and has a class of composition.

He composed stage music, orchestral and chamber opuses.

Stage music:
The Secret Dancers – ballet.

Works for symphony orchestra:
Bulgarian poem “Levski” (1994).

Works for string orchestra:
Chains and Wings.

Chamber Music:
Sonata for piano;
Instrumental pieces;
Six Love Songs for high voice and piano.
